Training description
Each module on the design thinking method is divided into two parts. In the first, participants learn the tools and principles necessary to carry out a given step of design thinking. In the second part, they use the learned tools to analyze a specific problem. This problem, is not known to the participants before the training, they get to know it only on the day of the training. At the end of the class, the solutions developed by the listeners are compared to those implemented by a company that previously struggled with the analyzed problem.

Module 2 Design thinking – step 1 – empathizing
- How to get into the skin of the recipient?
- What data to analyze?
- Empathizing tools:

- Social research: from ethnography to quantitative tools Practical use of tools when analyzing a real business problem.
Module 3 Design thinking – step 2 – defining the problem
- How do you know if a problem is properly defined?
- Well and ill-defined problems.
- Tools to support problem definition e.g. 5 Why, Ishikawa diagram.
- Practical use of tools when defining a real business problem.
Module 4 Design thinking – step 3 – generating solutions and ideas
- Principles of creative idea generation.
- Creative thinking tools to support idea generation: from improved brainstorming to superpositions.
- Factors inhibiting idea generation. Practical use of tools when generating ideas for a real business problem.
Module 5 Design thinking – step 4 – prototyping
- Why are prototypes so important?
- Tools for building prototypes for services and products: from hammer and boards to mobile app prototyping software. Practical use of prototyping tools for a real business problem.
Module 6 Design thinking – step 5 – testing
- Why test?
- Defined criteria that should be met during testing.
- Testing environment.
- Testing tools: from expert analysis to user research and statistical testing Practical use of testing tools for a real business problem.
