Course Review and Assessment
Required preparation of participants
– Introduction to storage
– Understand the basic concepts of open systems, disk storage systems and input/output operations
– Storage networking fundamentals (SN71) or equivalent experience
Issues
– Describing the benefits of implementing an all-flash FlashSystem V9000 storage virtualization solution.
– Implement administrative operations to maintain system capability.
– Distinguish between the models of the FlashSystem V9000 9846-AC3 control enclosure and the 9846-AE2 expansion enclosure.
– Describe the physical and logical requirements for integrating the FlashSystem V9000 system solution.
– Implement FlashSystem V9000 GUI and CLI configuration to configure all-flash V9000 systems.
– A summary of the symmetric virtualization process to transform physical storage into virtual storage resources.
– Implement volume allocation and volume mapping on host systems connected to the SAN.
– Summary of advanced system management strategies to maintain storage performance, increase storage efficiency and reliability.
– Implement a data migration strategy for the FlashSystem V9000 virtualized system environment.
