Building a Product Strategy
A practical training in building a product strategy — from vision and target audience, through the value proposition and market analysis, to goals, metrics and the roadmap. The programme teaches how to translate the product vision into concrete decisions about what to build and how to measure value, based on exercises on participants' real cases.
A product strategy is a compass that directs the development of a product — it defines who it is for, what problem it solves and how it will win in the market, connecting the vision with decisions about what to build.
Building a Product Strategy is a two-day practical EITT training, delivered onsite or remotely. The programme is intended for people responsible for a product who want to move from delivering features to strategic thinking — we work on participants’ real cases.
The training programme covers the key areas:
- Vision and foundations of product strategy
- Goals, metrics and priorities
- From strategy to roadmap
- Practice and exercises
After completing the training, participants will be able to formulate a product vision and value proposition, define the target audience and success metrics, and translate the strategy into a roadmap and priorities. Particular emphasis is placed on workshop-based work — participants build a draft product strategy for their own product or service.
The training helps build a strategy that becomes a filter for priorities and allows conscious decisions about what to build and what to drop — turning a product idea into a coherent plan for creating value.
