The training walks through the three levels at which an organization genuinely influences IT’s carbon footprint: governance (who owns Green IT goals and budget), procurement policy (how to select and maintain hardware in line with its life cycle), and infrastructure (how to design and operate data centers, cloud, and end-user devices energy-efficiently). Each of these levels generates a different type of decision — from strategic to operational — and a different type of data for the CSRD report.
A concrete bridge to the ESG report
The training’s final module closes the loop: it shows exactly how IT operational data feeds into the ESRS E1 standard and Scope 2/3 emissions calculations. This training operates one level up — it teaches HOW to build a Green IT strategy, governance model, and procurement policy for the whole organization, so measurement data has somewhere to go and translates into board decisions, procurement budgets, and the ESG report. It's a strategic-organizational perspective, not an engineering one.
Do I need technical infrastructure knowledge to benefit from this training?
A basic understanding of your IT infrastructure structure (what's on-premise, what's in the cloud, your end-user device fleet) is enough. The training is designed for decision-makers — IT directors, sustainability managers, procurement managers — not for engineers implementing specific technical solutions.
