nn- Positive attitude nnnnnHappy people have it better in life. You can always see in them the will to live and everything works out for them. They achieve great results and can enjoy what they have. They look at the world positively - are you also such a person?

nnnnWhat does a positive attitude to life consist of?

nnnnTo be able to like others, you should first like yourself. Stop despising yourself - if you can appreciate someone else, you are also able to appreciate yourself. You are the most important person in the world to yourself, so you deserve your own respect.

nnnn Exercises:

nnnn n- Write down 5 reasons why you like yourself nnnn- Add 1 skill/trait/advantage to your Wheel of Strengths nnnn- Use positive anchors n

nnnnn- Relaxation and breathing nnnnnBreathing is an important function, automatically regulated by the body. Oxygen delivered by the lungs is essential for the work of all human tissues. Brain tissue is particularly sensitive to oxygen deficiency. And precisely in moments of stress, we hold our breath, we “forget to breathe” and additionally “poison” the brain. Take care of your gray cells and give them oxygen.

nnnn Exercises:

nnnn n- Slow down your breathing. nnnn- Practice 4-7-8 breathing nnnn- Visualize happy moments nnnn- Create a matrix of your “anchors” n

nnnnn- Take care of yourself. nnnnnGenerally, take care of your body. How often do you take your car for an inspection? Do you treat yourself better than your car?

nnnn Exercises:

nnnn n- Once a year, make a day of kindness for yourself nnnn- Twice a year, do a body checkup - medical examinations n

nnnnn- Physical activity nnnnnSport and physical activity are increasingly appreciated as a means of maintaining and multiplying health. Physical activity is one of the most effective ways to prevent civilization diseases, such as coronary heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and professional burnout.

nnnn Exercises:

nnnn n- Go for a walk with your dog (and if you don’t have a dog, go by yourself) nnnn- Start with 1 minute of exercise a day n

nnnnn- Time management nnnnnTime passes relentlessly. It runs so fast that almost everyone complains about its lack today. Fashion dictates constantly chasing something and continuously setting new goals to achieve. The truth is, however, that you can’t do everything. You need to be able to choose between more important and less important things.

nnnn Exercises:

nnnn n- Remember what is important to you - check your Wheel of Life nnnn- Don’t succumb to the pressure of urgent matters nnnn- Beware of time thieves n

nnnnn- Don’t be alone. nnnnnTake care of your relationships with family, friends, and acquaintances.

nnnn Exercises:

nnnn n- Schedule a meeting with friends once every 2 weeks in your calendar (and do it!) nnnn- Plan and do something “crazy” with your loved one at least once a month (and smaller things once a week) nnnn- Make a family tree of your family. n

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the 4-7-8 breathing technique and how does it help with stress?

The 4-7-8 technique involves inhaling for 4 seconds, holding your breath for 7 seconds, and exhaling slowly for 8 seconds. This pattern activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which counteracts the body’s fight-or-flight response. Practicing it for just a few cycles can noticeably reduce anxiety and restore a sense of calm.

How can I fit physical activity into a busy work schedule?

Start with the one-minute-a-day approach mentioned in the article — even brief stretching or a short walk counts. You can also integrate movement into existing routines, such as taking stairs instead of the elevator or walking during phone calls. Consistency matters far more than duration when building a stress-relief habit.

The Wheel of Life helps you visually assess how balanced your attention is across key areas like health, relationships, career, and personal growth. Stress often intensifies when one area dominates at the expense of others. Reviewing your Wheel regularly helps you spot imbalances early and make conscious adjustments before stress becomes overwhelming.

Can time management really reduce stress or does it just add more pressure?

Effective time management reduces stress by helping you distinguish between what is truly important and what merely feels urgent. The goal is not to pack more tasks into each day but to protect your energy for what matters most. When you stop reacting to every demand and start choosing deliberately, the sense of overwhelm diminishes significantly.
