Advanced Facilitation — Leading Group Processes

An advanced training in facilitation — designing and leading group processes in which the team reaches its own solutions. The programme covers the facilitator's role and neutrality, designing the agenda, a repertoire of techniques (Liberating Structures, World Café, 1-2-4-All) and working with difficult situations and tension in the group. Based on intensive live facilitation exercises with feedback.

Facilitation is a competency that turns meetings and workshops into genuinely productive teamwork — the facilitator is responsible for the process while staying neutral on the content the group develops on its own.

Advanced Facilitation — Leading Group Processes is a two-day practical EITT training, delivered onsite or remotely. The programme is intended for people with experience running workshops and meetings who want to develop facilitation as a distinct discipline.

The training programme covers the key areas:

  • The facilitator’s role and process design
  • A repertoire of facilitation techniques
  • Working with the group and difficult situations
  • Facilitation practice and development

After completing the training, participants will be able to design and lead a group process from the goal to agreed conclusions, consciously match techniques to the situation and work with the dynamics and tension in a group. Particular emphasis is placed on practical exercises — participants facilitate live sessions and then analyze them based on recordings and feedback.

The training makes it possible to build an authentic personal facilitation style and broaden the repertoire of methods with proven structures that engage every participant — from strategy workshops, through retrospectives, to problem-solving sessions.
