Is Kubernetes the New Linux? Effectively Building Your Platform with Kubernetes.

During the presentation, I will show how Kubernetes gives full control over the application into developers’ hands, facilitates Continuous Deployment implementation, and accelerates adoption of DevOps culture. I will discuss what mechanisms we have available for best practices regarding scalability and fault tolerance of our applications. From a systems engineering perspective, Kubernetes also allows us to hide IaaS details and effectively build applications regardless of whether we are on AWS, GCP, or Azure. In conclusion, I will share my experiences with introducing Kubernetes at SMACC (startup, AI/ML FinTech, AI for financial processes) and Lykehq (startup, machine learning, at one point 1 of 10 mobile fashion e-commerce in Indonesia).

Is Secure Access Without VLANs and ACLs Possible?

Most enterprises focus on protecting the network junction with the Internet. This approach has stopped working. Recent experiences with attacks such as Wannacry or Petya showed that they could have been prevented if enterprises had appropriate protections in the campus LAN network. What protections are we talking about? First and foremost, end-to-end network segmentation that provides separation of user groups and applications, allowing only network traffic that is permitted in a given relationship. During the session, infrastructure capable of sharing security event information and automatically isolating threats will be presented.

Michal Kowalczyk

SDDC (Software Defined Datacenter) Environments as a Platform for Running Legacy Applications in Cloud Computing. Practical Application Examples.

During the session, we will talk about types of applications running in the cloud and types of execution engines. We will take a closer look at the issue of moving traditional applications to the cloud using VMware’s Software Defined Datacenter technology. We will also talk about examples of such projects.

Sebastian Paluch

Monitoring for Network Performance and Reliability Control.

With the passage of time and company growth, network environments achieve greater complexity and size. These challenges mean that administration, control, and maintenance of the IT environment requires the use of the latest technologies. During the presentation, we will present a solution called NetCrunch Monitoring Platform, which will significantly facilitate performance control and increase infrastructure availability. We will show how users are notified of problems occurring in the network regardless of the type and location of anomalies (text logs, applications, network services, etc.) thanks to built-in mechanisms. The NetCrunch platform is used in environments of companies belonging to manufacturing, aviation, energy, electronics industries, etc., significantly reducing costs resulting from lack of service and application availability in a given network environment. We will discuss best practices effectively applied regardless of the structure and size of the network infrastructure.

IoT Solution Prototyping

It sometimes happens that presenting the value of new technologies through PowerPoint has the opposite effect of what was intended. While we are able to inspire, we still do not build real trust that allows for making real decisions. Let’s see how delivering a prototype helps in the process of testing technology and making decisions.

Next-Generation Enterprise Automation

The session will introduce listeners to the topic of Enterprise Automation, characterize the capabilities of enterprise-class WLA systems. The speakers will present key features of next-generation automation systems and demonstrate live how such a system works on a real use case.

Kamil Strzalka

Automating Update Processes, Vulnerability Detection, Securing Weak Points, and Secure Configuration Management, Within Operating Systems and Applications Running on Client Devices as Part of baramundi Management Suite.

Current software and elimination of weak points and vulnerabilities is an absolute necessity. This applies not only to operating systems but also to many applications used in companies. Shortening update cycles for standard software or prevention in the area of vulnerability detection and configuration compliance with policies is often a cause of time problems. Administrators must devote a large part of their time and resources to routine tasks such as audits, evaluation of new versions, compliance scans, downloading, packaging, and distributing software updates. Can this be automated and can you move to a higher level of prevention and management? Yes, tools from the baramundi Management Suite will help with this. In 45 minutes, we will show you how simple this can be with the right tool. We invite you to our presentation.
