Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Flow4Results Foundation simulation game?
Flow4Results Foundation is a full-day, board-based project simulation game where four-person teams experience realistic project management scenarios. Through successive rounds, participants learn the principles of Flow Management and the Kanban method, including workflow metrics, retrospectives, and continuous process improvement.
Do I need prior Kanban or Flow Management experience to participate?
No, the workshop is designed to be accessible to participants with basic familiarity with project environments and teamwork. The simulation introduces concepts progressively through each round, with mini-presentations and instructor support between rounds to build understanding incrementally.
What tangible skills will participants gain from this workshop?
Participants will gain practical skills in Kanban board analysis, WIP (Work in Progress) indicator interpretation, identifying and implementing process improvements, and running effective project retrospectives. These skills are directly transferable to real project work in any organizational context.
How is this simulation different from traditional project management training?
Unlike lecture-based training, the Flow4Results simulation places participants in a hands-on project environment where they experience real challenges, make decisions, and see immediate consequences. This experiential approach leads to deeper understanding and better retention of project management principles compared to theoretical instruction.
